Hrastovica mountain covers most of the administrative territory of the town of Petrinja. It extends from the northwest (the mouth of the river Glina into the Kupa river),  all to way to the Sunja stream in the southeast. Its highest peak is Cepeliš (415 m) above the village of Hrastovica.\r\n\r\nThe mountain is rich in natural resources. There are numerous game habitats, while beech and chestnut forests cover almost the entire area and descend to the edges of rivers and settlements. The steep and wooded slopes of Hrastovička gora are rich in numerous small springs.\r\n\r\nParticularly interesting in this area are sedimentary formations in several places, such as the Bijele stijene (White Rocks) and several abandoned quarries, where the fossils of bivalve molluscs, red algae, colonies of fungi, corals and hedgehogs, or the fauna of the former Pannonian Sea, are visible. There are also certain opportunities for the development of speleological tourism offered by the Šušnjar cave near the village of the same name. The cave is largely unexplored, but because of its geological structure, it is considered unique in Europe.\r\n\r\nDuring the Croatian War of Independence, Hrastovička gora was affected by the war, but only the northern part of it, close to the town of Petrinja, where there are no hiking trails, is considered mine-suspicious.\r\n\r\nAt the top of the mountain is a mountain lodge that was renovated in 2007. There is also a small ski resort \"Vrelo\" on Hrastovička gora.\r\n\r\nThe chart is created by the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service CMRS.","brand":"Croatian Mountain Rescue Service - HGSS","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":41757321756828,"sku":"1463951","price":4.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0441\/7850\/5884\/files\/202207101833111.jpg?v=1738164485"}],"url":"https:\/\/store.avenza.com\/collections\/maps-of-petrinja-sisacko-moslavacka.oembed","provider":"Avenza Maps","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
