Oak-hickory and northern hardwoods comprise the forests of this rugged area.\r\n\r\nHunting, Trapping, and Fishing:\r\n\r\nA 500-foot safety zone exists around all buildings, picnic areas, campgrounds, and playgrounds in which it is illegal to shoot a firearm.\r\n\r\nHunting Opportunities: Deer, Turkey, Bear, Squirrel, Grouse, Snow Hare\r\n\r\nTrapping Opportunities: Bobcat, Coyote, Red Fox, Beaver, Mink, Muskrat, Opossum\r\n\r\nFishing Opportunities: North Fork of the South Branch, South Branch of the Potomac River, Red Creek, Gandy Creek, Dry Fork, Spruce Knob Lake.
