Each map includes spectacular 3D hillshade topography, contour lines, public-land ownership boundaries, major roads only, key terrain features, and hydrology.\r\n\r\nLose yourself hunting Colorado’s wide-open prairie — yet NEVER GET LOST!\r\n\r\nGMU 105 lies on the eastern plains of Colorado, covering portions of Arapahoe, Elbert, Washington, and Lincoln Counties near the communities of Deer Trail, Agate, Byers, Last Chance, and Lindon. This unit features classic shortgrass prairie habitat—broad, open plains, rolling rangeland, dryland farms, CRP fields, shallow creek bottoms, and prairie drainages. Scattered ranch shelterbelts, brushy draws, cottonwoods, and isolated pockets of cover provide key bedding and travel corridors for game.\r\n\r\nGMU 105 offers excellent pronghorn (antelope) hunting, with herds widely distributed across the open prairie, crop fields, and mixed agricultural country. Mule deer are common in creek drainages, cut banks, weedy draws, and CRP cover, while white-tailed deer are more localized near shelterbelts, irrigated pockets, and farmsteads. As with most plains units, public land is extremely limited, making landowner permission essential for big-game hunting. Walk-In Access (WIA) parcels offer supplemental opportunities and vary season by season.\r\n\r\nUpland and small-game hunters also find opportunities for ring-necked pheasant, bobwhite quail, dove, coyote, and jackrabbit, particularly around field edges, stubble, CRP corners, and weedy draws.\r\n\r\nWhy Hunters Trust Our Maps\r\n\r\nGPS-accurate and works offline in the free Avenza Map app\r\n\r\n3D hillshade topography and contour lines to read terrain with clarity\r\n\r\nPublic and private-land boundaries clearly displayed\r\n\r\nMajor roads only — no cluttered or confusing trail networks\r\n\r\nKey terrain features: Prairie drainages, shelterbelts, CRP grasslands, stock ponds, windmills, crop edges, and rangeland breaks\r\n\r\nClean, easy-to-read design built for eastern plains hunters\r\n\r\nMark your camps, glassing points, fence crossings, harvest sites, and bird-hunting fields\r\n\r\nCould save your life by allowing emergency personnel to pinpoint your exact location\r\n\r\nRecommended Hunting Targets in GMU 105\r\n\r\nBig Game: Pronghorn (primary), Mule Deer, White-Tailed Deer\r\n\r\nOther Species: Ring-Necked Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail, Dove, Coyote, Fox, Small Game\r\n\r\nNote: Over 90% of GMU 105 is private land. Hunters must obtain landowner permission or use CPW Walk-In Access (WIA) parcels. Success often hinges on scouting agricultural edges, creek bottoms, and CRP cover where food, water, and shelter intersect.\r\n\r\nMobile Map Tips\r\n\r\nUse airplane mode to conserve battery and shut down apps running in the background. Carry a backup battery or solar charger—cell coverage varies widely across the plains. For pronghorn, glass from small rises or pivot edges at dawn and dusk. For deer, focus on draws, creek bottoms, and crop-field transitions, especially during late-season movements.","brand":"Map the Xperience","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45602661793948,"sku":"1713776","price":4.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0441\/7850\/5884\/files\/map-the-xperience-2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-105-map-1713776-preview-0_d37b7af3-c0f8-4fba-9cb7-8fedb6ed2497.jpg?v=1763568817","url":"https:\/\/store.avenza.com\/products\/2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-105-map-the-xperience-map","provider":"Avenza Maps","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
