Each map includes spectacular 3D hillshade topography, contour lines, public-land ownership boundaries, major roads only, key terrain features, and hydrology.\r\n\r\nLose yourself in Colorado’s open plains and farm country — yet NEVER GET LOST!\r\n\r\nGMU 132 lies on the east-central plains of Colorado, covering portions of Crowley, Otero, Kiowa, and Lincoln Counties near the communities of Ordway, Sugar City, Arlington, and Haswell. The landscape consists of shortgrass prairie, dryland and irrigated cropland, CRP fields, shelterbelts, playa basins, shallow creek drainages, and rolling rangeland. This is classic open-country plains habitat with long sight distances and subtle terrain variation.\r\n\r\nGMU 132 offers solid pronghorn (antelope) hunting, with herds found throughout the prairie, crop stubble, CRP grasslands, and rangeland. Mule deer inhabit rougher breaks, creek drainages, and pockets of brushy cover, while white-tailed deer occur in localized areas along riparian corridors, cottonwood strips, and irrigated farmland edges. The mix of agriculture and native prairie supports a healthy and diverse big-game population.\r\n\r\nPublic land is limited and fragmented, with the vast majority of GMU 132 consisting of private agricultural and ranching lands. Hunters must secure landowner permission or utilize seasonal Colorado Parks \u0026amp; Wildlife Walk-In Access (WIA) parcels, which can offer additional opportunity.\r\n\r\nUpland and small-game hunting includes ring-necked pheasant, bobwhite quail, dove, coyote, fox, and jackrabbit. Bird hunting is strongest in areas where CRP, grain stubble, weedy field edges, and shelterbelts come together.\r\n\r\nWhy Hunters Trust Our Maps\r\n\r\nGPS-accurate and works offline in the free Avenza Map app\r\n\r\n3D hillshade and contour lines reveal subtle plains and rangeland features\r\n\r\nPublic and private-land boundaries clearly marked\r\n\r\nMajor roads only — clean, easy-to-read navigation\r\n\r\nKey terrain features: Prairie drainages, playa basins, CRP fields, shelterbelts, crop edges, stock ponds, windmills, and rangeland breaks\r\n\r\nClean, uncluttered layout built for plains hunters\r\n\r\nMark your camps, glassing points, fence crossings, harvest sites, and bird-hunting fields\r\n\r\nCould save your life by helping emergency personnel locate you quickly\r\n\r\nRecommended Hunting Targets in GMU 132\r\n\r\nBig Game: Pronghorn (primary), Mule Deer, White-Tailed Deer\r\n\r\nBirds: Ring-Necked Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail, Dove\r\n\r\nOther: Coyote, Fox, Jackrabbit, Small Game\r\n\r\nNote: GMU 132 is over 95% private land, dominated by cropland and prairie. Hunters must secure landowner permission or rely on seasonal WIA parcels for legal access. Productive hunting areas often occur along drainages, field edges, CRP patches, and shelterbelts that provide reliable food and cover.\r\n\r\nMobile Map Tips\r\n\r\nUse airplane mode to conserve battery and close background apps. Bring a backup battery or solar charger—coverage can be inconsistent across the plains. For pronghorn, glass from rises or pivot edges early and late. For deer, target drainages, crop-field transitions, and shelterbelts, especially during low-light movement.","brand":"Map the Xperience","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45610378100892,"sku":"1714661","price":4.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0441\/7850\/5884\/files\/map-the-xperience-2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-132-map-1714661-preview-0.jpg?v=1763739844","url":"https:\/\/store.avenza.com\/products\/2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-132-map-the-xperience-map","provider":"Avenza Maps","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
