{"product_id":"2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-135-map-the-xperience-map","title":"2025 Colorado Hunt Map – GMU 135","description":"2025 Colorado Hunt Map – GMU 135 (Avenza GPS Map)\r\n\r\nOur mission was simple — create highly detailed, GPS-accurate maps for Colorado’s Game Management Units. Each map includes spectacular 3D hillshade topography, contour lines, public-land ownership boundaries, major roads only, key terrain features, and hydrology.\r\n\r\nLose yourself in Colorado’s rolling prairie and open ranch country — yet NEVER GET LOST!\r\n\r\nGMU 135 lies on the east-central plains of Colorado, covering portions of Lincoln and Cheyenne Counties near the communities of Karval, Cheyenne Wells, Wild Horse, and Boyero. This landscape is defined by shortgrass prairie, dryland farms, CRP fields, playa basins, shallow creek drainages, stock tanks, and extensive rangeland. Subtle hills and long sight lines make this classic open-country hunting terrain.\r\n\r\nGMU 135 supports strong pronghorn (antelope) populations across the prairie, stubble fields, CRP grasslands, and rolling rangeland. Mule deer inhabit the broken country, creek bottoms, brushy pockets, and prairie draws, while white-tailed deer appear in localized pockets near cottonwood-lined drainages, farmstead shelterbelts, and irrigated field edges. The mix of crops, pasture, and native prairie produces reliable big-game movement.\r\n\r\nPublic access is extremely limited, as the unit is composed almost entirely of private ranchland and agricultural properties. Hunters must obtain landowner permission or utilize Colorado Parks \u0026amp; Wildlife Walk-In Access (WIA) parcels when available.\r\n\r\nUpland and predator-hunting opportunities include ring-necked pheasant, bobwhite quail, scaled quail (in limited areas), dove, coyote, fox, and jackrabbit. Bird hunting is strongest where CRP, grain stubble, weedy edges, and creek drainages intersect.\r\n\r\nWhy Hunters Trust Our Maps\r\n\r\nGPS-accurate and works offline in the free Avenza Map app\r\n\r\n3D hillshade and contour lines highlight subtle prairie relief and drainages\r\n\r\nPublic and private-land boundaries clearly displayed\r\n\r\nMajor roads only — clean, uncluttered navigation\r\n\r\nKey terrain features: Prairie drainages, CRP fields, crop edges, playa basins, shelterbelts, windmills, stock ponds, and rangeland breaks\r\n\r\nClean, easy-to-read layout designed specifically for plains hunters\r\n\r\nMark your camps, glassing points, fence crossings, upland bird fields, and harvest sites\r\n\r\nCould save your life by allowing emergency personnel to pinpoint your location\r\n\r\nRecommended Hunting Targets in GMU 135\r\n\r\nBig Game: Pronghorn (primary), Mule Deer, White-Tailed Deer\r\n\r\nBirds: Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail, Scaled Quail (localized), Dove\r\n\r\nOther: Coyote, Fox, Jackrabbit, Small Game\r\n\r\nNote: GMU 135 is over 95% private land, so landowner permission is required for most hunting. The best success usually occurs where native prairie meets agriculture, or in shallow draws, CRP patches, creek bottoms, and weedy field edges.\r\n\r\nMobile Map Tips\r\n\r\nUse airplane mode to conserve battery and disable extra apps. Carry a spare battery or solar charger—cell coverage is limited across the plains. For pronghorn, glass from rises and pivot edges early and late. For deer, target drainages, brushy pockets, and crop-field transitions, especially during low-light hours.","brand":"Map the Xperience","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45610399072412,"sku":"1714683","price":4.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0441\/7850\/5884\/files\/map-the-xperience-2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-135-map-1714683-preview-0_4079aac7-3812-4208-9248-48c04bb3f8d1.jpg?v=1763740636","url":"https:\/\/store.avenza.com\/products\/2025-colorado-hunt-map-gmu-135-map-the-xperience-map","provider":"Avenza Maps","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
