But they’re only helpful as long as your phone is working. You can save your phone’s battery life by putting it in airplane mode while riding\/hiking or remember to carry an extra battery pack.  And always have a backup plan – carry a printed map and a compass, and know how to use them! \r\n\r\nThe Avenza app will work without cell signal and best of all....
