The South side of the mountain is the Home of a large Buffalo herd.   You will be dropping of the Eastern slope to Little Egypt\r\n\r\nFrom little Egypt you will cross Highway 95 and proceed down Poison Spring Canyon,  Keep an  eye peeled for the many petroglyphs and a Spanish Cross. \r\n\r\nCrossing the Dirty Devil river can be easy or difficult depending on recent runoff from snow melt or rains. Having help is a good plan always.\r\n\r\nYou will continue through a 'Grand Canyon like' landscape past the turn off to \"The Big Ridge\" (separate map) on to Sunset Pass then South to Hite.\r\n\r\nWe rode the trail in a Stock 4 door Polaris ranger. There are no extreme obstacles.  The River can be Extreme on occasion so check the Dirty Devil river water reports online.  \r\n\r\nThere are no width restrictions.\r\n\r\nThis is clearly a long adventure.
