But today, we’re going to focus on the wide variety of outdoor activities you can do in New England.

One of the many activities you can do is enjoy the trails around the region. There are hundreds of trails from Maine to Rhode Island, including the famous New England Scenic Trail, the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail.

The Appalachian Trail

The Appalachian Trail is one of the main hiking trails in the Eastern United States, extending almost 2,200 miles between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine, and passing through 14 states. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy claims the Appalachian Trail to be the longest hiking-only trail in the world. It takes months the complete the adventure but today we’ll look at the small portions of the trail that are in New England.
