”Avenza is not an offline, turn by turn navigation app. Imagine standing at the start of a hiking trail you haven't hiked yet, and you open a paper map. Only this paper map shows you where you are on that map, lets you measure distances, plan routes, and mark spots just like a paper map. That's Avenza. I've used it for navigating Army training areas, navigating Austria as a tourist, and now I use it to mark my fishing spots. It's perfect! It's also the only app for GeoPDF that I can find.“

”My go to app for hiking in the NH white mountains. Even with no cell service it pin points you on the AMC maps. No visibility above tree line on Mt. Mousilauke in NH and off trail. Pulled this up and got us right back on track. Doesn't use much on the battery either as long as you don't keep the screen lit up all the time. We carry maps and a GPS as well but 99% of the time we use this. Best investment for hard core hiking in NH!“

”We use this app to navigate while ATVing in the Black hills. It has never failed us. We bought a couple of cheap $35 burner phones with no service so if they get ruined it's no big deal. The features are amazing.We can drop pins at our favorite spots we find on the trails so we can find them again. We can add pictures and comments to the pins. It's so accurate that I have pinned a particular tree I found and was able to go right back to it. We also love the track recording feature. We can see exactly where we've been so we aren't hitting the same trails again. Oh, gosh, and the distance tool... let's just say I love this app!“
