Portions of New River Trail State Park reopen after Hurricane Helene

The Patriot recently reported that roughly 25 miles of New River Trail State Park have reopened after significant damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Guests are encouraged to download the geo-referenced park map from Avenza Maps to navigate the trail. Although much of the trail is accessible, certain areas remain closed for repairs.
