Basically Life-Saving

I used this map to hike the Puuki-Wailae trail over a whole weekend. I downloaded the map and used it most of the time with no service. I brought a fully charged portable charger and used it to keep my phone juiced the whole trip. My plan was to hike all the way up to the Wailae cabin, but on the second day of my trip I found a stray hunting dog and chose to bring it back to health. This map helped me stay on trail despite the fact that the trail to Wailae has been completely overgrown and a new one has been formed, according to locals. Next time, I will follow the newly tread trail, but I will certainly be bringing this map again in case I'm led astray. The map is incredibly accurate, it would show a stream coming up and as soon as it'd come up on my map, I'd see it right in front of me. Very helpful.
