I downloaded the maps to my phone and w/it in a waterproof case I was able to keep track of where our group was while I was kayaking! Usually, I'm asking the rowers where we are, what camps are coming up, etc but to have all this info at my fingertips and then being able to keep track of our camps, upload a picture and description was an incredible bonus!
