Really fills a couple of needs well
The Belknap waterproof guides are the best printed option for Grand Canyon and I’ve used them for years. This Avenza edition was really useful on our April ‘24 trip for two reasons: *The annotation tool lets you mark and keep notes on campsites, rapids, and hikes without rummaging around for your sharpie and hoping the ink dries before the next wave. *The geolocation (blue dot) was helpful below Diamond where I hadn’t run in a couple years . It will be a real plus for first-time boaters who need to track where they are for the whole Canyon. Nice job Westwater!
Best of both maps!
I’ve used Belknap’s waterproof river guides for years. They really are the best for knowing where you are on the river, the history and the environment. Now with their Grand Canyon river map published digitally, it’s so easy to find your location on the map, tag all your favorite places, like camps and take photos to reference later and relive your trip. It’s amazing to see their beautiful shaded topo maps on your phone or iPad and see the rapids, mile markers, campsites and more! I recommend this for your once in a lifetime trip down Grand Canyon.
